About the Hosts and the house:
Sandy, the host, used to be a B&B owner and she has been in Vancouver close to 25 years.
Sandy is a piano teacher and she stops teaching at 9:30 pm Mon-Fri and earlier on the weekends.
Sandy is very familiar with all the tourist sights and how to get there. During your stay in
Mackenzie Suite, you are welcome to knock on her door to borrow the phone and/or ask
questions in the mornings. Afternoons and evenings are for emergencies only as she'll most
likely be teaching and then putting her child to bed.
Mackenzie Suite is approximately 800 square feet and occupies most of the lower floor, 4 steps
below ground. It's approximately 6'10" high. The suite has a private entrance, a spacious kitchen
with eating area, a bathroom with a tub/shower combo, two bedrooms and a living room. There is
free wireless high speed Internet connection.
The house is in Mackenzie Height, which is a prestigious area even in Vancouver westside. It's
close to many tourist attractions with University of BC, downtown, beaches and Queen Elizabeth
Park all within 10-15 minutes of drive. There is one bus (#22) a block away that goes to Kitsilano
(beaches, shopping and restaurants) and downtown.
